Artist Statement I have always enjoyed painting in oils while growing up. I attended art instruction after school during my high school years. I was part of my high school literary club, illustrating literature that was written and published for the students and staff. I went on to become an elementary school teacher with emphasis on Special education. I am retired now and its my time to share my passion with art. Currently, I am working with acrylics and watercolor. I would say I am a self taught artist and still enjoy taking classes for these two mediums that I create with. I have two very talented children in the creative industries. I live on the Monterey Peninsula in California sharing my home with my dog, Mollie and my parakeets.
