Artist Statement As a child in the 1960's, plastic bodied meniscus lensed Diana camera in hand - my first images were captured.

My grandmother had this archive of Vogue and Tatler issues dating back to the war and through these magazines I became enchanted by the work of Penn, Bailley and the then emerging South African, Barry Lategan.

In the late seventies - now studying Engineering - I had graduated to an entry level Nikon and attended a three day Nikon"school". The all American staff comprised of a grizzled photojournalist with Vietnam and Cambodian credentials, an effete fine art photographer from NYC and an Ansel Adams wannabe. The school was significant to me. Not only was I exposed to a myriad of fresh concepts that went far beyond the University camera club - but it was then that I made a decision to become a full time photographer.

Now, nearly thirty years later I am still trying to capture the perfect image.

Commercially I am involved in Beauty and Fashion my real interest lies in fine art images with a lot of edge and the "tableaux vivant"
