Artist Statement I've been an artist my whole life. From a very young age my Grandmothers both encouraged me toward sculpture and drawing. Of course my more reasonable Mother decided that artists can't make a decent living and encouraged me to pursue other interests - however I never gave it up.

I have won awards throughout the years for my work as early as the age of 7 for a rendition I did of Peter and the Wolf. From that point on, even though I pursued those reasonable goals, I always had a sketch pad or paints or some sort of soap stone to release the artist within me.

Among 3 majors, I studied Fine Art at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo Ontario Canada surrounded by farmland, the rich cultures of St. Jacobs, Elmira and Elora. I gained an appreciation for the beauty of us as Canadians and our Magnificent Landscapes in my travels after obtaining my degree. I do Photography, Sculpture, Painting, and Drawing of anything I come across in my travels. Each piece has a very important significance relating to Canada or being Canadian.

I also went on to become a Chef and a not so bad amateur musician. Today I combine all of my passions into my daily living. I am a child of the arts and it consumes me in some for every day. I am always exploring each of my arts and always learning from every experience.

My influences are obviously the Group of 7, Ken Danby, Georgia O'Keeffe with a dash of Monet tossed in for good measure. I do consignment work regularly now.. and my life has never been so joyful since I gave my will to my gifts.
