Description Taken at Woody Point in Brisbane Queensland, Australia just before suinriseHMQS Gayundah was a flat-iron gunboat operated by the Queensland Maritime Defence Force and later the Royal Australian Navy (as HMAS Gayundah). She entered service in 1884 and was decommissioned and sold in 1921. She then served as sand and gravel barge for Brisbane Gravel Pty Ltd until 1950, when she was scrapped. In 1958, Gayundah was run aground at Woody Point at Redcliffe, to serve as a breakwater structure. From Wikipedia
Julienne Bowser, Gold Coast Member Since December 2011 Artist Statement Julienne Bowser was born and educated in Perth, Western Australia. Has spent much of her life travelling around our big brown land. Studied art in Alice Springs at Centralian College where she gained an Associate Diploma of Allied and Creative Art (1993/93) . It was here she discovered her passion for photography. She went on to further study and gained a Diploma of Photography at CSIT in 1997/98 at Nambour on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. She has won several awards at home and abroad for her work and continues to strive for excellence.
