Artist Statement Collage has long been my passion going as far back as the brown paper book covers I made in grade school. These were the first supports I used for my efforts,on which clippings from magazines,newspapers and family photos were carefully arranged. The added experience in photography,including my own darkroom work,and a degree in graphic arts,as well as painting in acrylic and watercolor have all enriched,not changed, my artistic goal. Each element has its own vibrant personality. My vision is to make paint,ink fabric and photographs work together successfully and speak in one voice about the things I love.
My passion remains the involving,evolving world of collage.
