Description Barns in various stages of decay are fixtures of the American landscape just about anywhere you travel in the United States with the exception of the South West. This old gall, built c. 1900 by some miracle of nature maintained her original paint through out her entire life. This barn was destroyed some 5 weeks after photograph was taken during a massive thunderstorm. Fewer and fewer of the handcrafted pieces of yesterday's America remain standing.
