Artist Statement Tina Woodruff has a 46 year career in art. She has been painting, teaching and showing art for all of these years. As a self-taught artist, Tina found her way by trial and error. If something worked, she would keep it and use it in the future and if not, discard it. This is a long and difficult process. As a teacher she provides these practices so her students can use things that work right away.

Tina has had art in galleries and shows throughout the U.S. most particularly in the Southeast, Texas and Washington State. Her work has been exhibited and sold from Richmond, Virginia to Daytona Beach, Florida. She has had a number of showings in Texas and in Seattle, Washington.

Watercolors with bright, vibrant colors are the most collected of Tina's work. They have a design quality that has an Eastern feeling. She is considered a major colorist. Her painting expertise also includes oil and gouache.

Tina graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Texas and did graduate work at Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio. She is certified to teach through high school level.

"Painting is a daily pleasure and challenge. It has been my constant companion for almost 50 years and I never grow tired of it," stated the artist.
