Artist Statement Bringing diverse elements and resources together into a new work of art is what attracts and excites me. It is very much akin to the decision making process that has sustained my business career for so many years. The experiences of acting, analyzing and reacting thrill me. It's the process that captivates me.

My lifelong interest in art now receives my full attention. Workshops by Richard Yip, Christopher Schink, Carole Myers, Richard Hegen, Irving Shapiro, Henry Bell and others have enriched my philosophy of learning by doing. Art classes at Southeast Missouri State University from Grant Lund and George Founds provided additional development. My college degree is not in art but in agricultural economics from Michigan State University.

Watercolor has been my primary medium for many years until recently. Now, a wide variety of other materials including digital work define me as a mixed media artist.

For ten years my wife, Mary Tangora, and I operated an art gallery called Wind Water & Light in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois. We both continued to produce out of our individual studios during that time and we still do today.

My studio is Farmboy Artworks. Through Farmboy Artworks many of my art images are applied to a variety of substrates including a successful line original tee shirts.

We now reside in Florida.
