Description After SQW retired from the movie business, he started illustrating the cartoons for the Scorecard section of Sports Illustrated magazine. Kelso Sutton, the Publisher at the time, wrote this short bio about SQW in the Letter from the Publisher in the April 23, 1979 issue of Sports Illustrated.

Artist Statement Presenting Movie Art Memorabilia, Historical World War II Art, Cartoon Art and much more from one of the great commercial artists and cartoonists of the prior century, my dad SQW.

Our First Gallery will focus on SQW's famous Movie Art Memorabilia, including original commercial art director layouts, sketches, roughs, and more for movie ads, signage, posters, media kits, etc. Unlike other Movie Memorabilia websites where you can get the finished movie posters, we have the creative artist's original layouts and designs for the famous movies we all grew up with from Warner Bros, Twentieth Century Fox, MGM, Paramount, Universal, Columbia and more. It's all coming soon.

The second gallery will focus on SQW's Spearhead U.S. Army Newsletter from World War II. On the European front, every day, SQW created a mimeographed newsletter keeping the troops of the 2nd Infantry Division informed how the War was going with a humorous cartoon depicting the daily life the troops had to endure.

The third gallery will feature SQW's true love beyond the movies: drawing funny cartoons. All subjects, all beautifully and lovingly drawn by SQW.
