Description Rear 3/4 view of a 1947 Lincoln Continental Coupe. The Lincoln Continental was introduced in 1940, just prior to the onset of World War II. The Lincoln marque had weathered The Great Depression and the Continental signaled to the world that they were serious about their desires to compete in the luxury car segment. The design was modern, elegant, and slightly European with a long front bonnet that gracefully concealed a potent V12 engine. On the inside, they were lavishly appointed, burnishing the Continental's reputation for quality and style. This image is COPYRIGHT REGISTERED~~ALL RIGHTS RESERVED~~MCN:CWSRQ-HD4AS-MSF34
