Description In 1971 the Florida Project finally became a reality with Disney putting its mark on the east coast. The Magic Kingdom opened, entertaining guests of all ages with its six different lands.Quote reads: There is a spirit here, everywhere. Its in the air, everywhere you look. All of this is Walt. This is what Walt wanted for all of us - an escape from our aspirin existence into a land of sparkle and lights and rainbows Walt Disney loved America because his dream came true right here in America. He brought to us the delightful images of a kind of kaleidoscope of sound, motion, color, music, and beauty, and he tied it all up into one broad, beautiful, bountiful package called love. The entire world owes Walt a great debt. He achieved much, but perhaps his greatest accomplishment is that he made children of us all.'Bob Hope October 25, 1971
Stephen Christ, Chicago Member Since October 2010 Artist Statement I am an industrial designer and model maker from Chicago, IL. I attended Purdue University and was a Chick Evans Scholar. After spending most of my college career working with 3D art, I have started doing side projects designing 2D posters. The retro travel posters from the 50s and 60s have been my favorite inspiration so far, and I enjoy putting my own spin on that style. My vector art Disney posters are limitless, and I will keep adding more to the collection in the future.
