Kenneth Massara, West Dundee Member Since April 2008 Artist Statement I am a young 86 and have always enjoyed photography and writing. I do not have (it will be evident) formal education in either. My love of motorcycling allowed me to cover good many miles of blacktop within this country and Canada, a good portion of it alone. The advantage of traveling alone … you make all the decisions and never loose an argument. My favorite two wheel state was and always shall be, Wyoming.
I have covered some 200+k on that mode of transportation and have been fortunate to have had couple short stories/articles published in American Motorcyclist Magazine.
As a boy I liked to hunt, taught at an early age by my father and grandfather in the cornfields and farmlands of Nebraska. Following a visit arranged by Uncle Sam in the early 50’s to a small country on the other side of the world, changed my feelings about many things, guns was one of them. I gave up hunting unless I was using a camera.
That does not mean I do not believe in an individuals right to gun ownership! In fact I carry Firearms Owner ID Card.
Every now and then I take a photo, write an article, short story, poem, that I think is worth sharing and pass it along within a media such as this: I hope you enjoy my attempts. Though it is all for personal pleasure I welcome your criticism and suggestions: don’t hesitate to stroke my “ego,” now and then if you feel the urge.
I can be reached firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions, comments, or make a purchase. Your reasoning behind your purchase would assist me in learning how I might better market my offerings.
Married 61 years and counting, and yes to the same woman, though she probably would have like to made a trade on occasion, but thought better of it as I do most of the cooking.
Everyone has a photographic mind…some just lack film.
For the most part you will see what was recorded with little change.
