Description A Bird Of Paradise Bloom is an art print I created using a defined drawing followed by a simple oil looking technique. This technique starts with strong defined lines to create the outline of the subject matter followed by long oil looking brush strokes to fill in the color. The final result is a very simplistic, clean look. The inspiration behind this piece is a single stem bloom of a tropical Bird of Paradise. This plant is grown in abundance in the warmer tropical climates. The actual bloom behind this art print came from a flower garden in Southern California. When considering an art print, the interior design of the room comes into play and the look you are going for with any given print comes into the decision process. This particular style of art print works well in almost any room dcor. However, an influencing factor is the framing and matting style, which can dictate what dcor the final piece will look good in versus just the style of the art print.Follow my work:TheWallGallery: https://thewallgallery.comBlog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/Twitter:https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2017 Kirt Tisdale/TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
