Description Capitol Reef National Park is home to one of the most amazing sandstone formations. The park extends for miles along a water pocket, with sheer cliff walls rising as a fault pushes it up, and creating an oasis of life like the old pioneer town of Fruita, Utah. This photo taken in the fields near Fruita show how history is frozen in time in this National Park.
