Artist Statement who am I
I am an old hippy musician, student of the 4thway (Gurdjeiff and Ouspensky), psychedelic drug user, former cigarette smoker, recovering alcoholic with mental illness. In general a fairly typical survivor of my generation. I suppose that qualifies me to be an “Artist” of some sort. I also have 25 years of sobriety and training as a peer counselor and drug and alcohol counselor.
I am 66 years old, live in Berkeley Ca. With my wife, “Tracey” , dog “Fred” the puggle and drive a 20 year old Volvo 850 turbo. Since my Art is all a by product of my efforts to experience a “spiritual awakening” I think of my efforts to expose my art to others as part of my 12th step.
