Artist Statement Christine Cobden is a professional artist up and coming in the Hudson Valley area. Her areas of expertise include painting, sculpture, printmaking and illustration. She holds a BFA from Smith College and has years of experience in both corporate and non-profit environments. Her artwork is collected internationally.

Her recent works are modern, bold nature and abstracts which evoke memories of places known and unknown. She believes wherever we travel, what was seen or unseen stays with us, leaving its mark behind our eyelids and haunting our mind. As someone who grew up identifying with both the city and country, the memories of constantly traveling between these different worlds (and the spaces between) are brought to life in her art, as she now maps her interpretive experiences and dreams.
