Artist Statement Born and raised in the pacific northwest, I grew up with Three brothers, two sisters, a ginormous great dane, 2 cats and around 70 gerbils through out eighteen years. Now I enjoy four different seasons with my beautiful Wife and Adorable daughter in the midwest.

I began drawing as a bored child with no known talents of any kind. That was my opinion anyway. My Moms answer to my problems involved a sheet of lined paper, a pencil and my imagination. She was very smart. Now, more than twenty years later, I still draw on paper with my imagination. However, Lined paper and a number two pencil no longer do it for me. I need color and Acid free artist paper. through trial and LOTS of error, I discovered that oil pastels suit my personality the best.

I create art as an expression of my thoughts, feelings and experiences. I am not one of those guys that can be content with work and sports. I need a creative outlet in order to feel pride and hope. Proud of my creations and hopeful in future creations. I do have spiritual Hope with God but, we are made in His image, Creativity is a big part of his image.
