Photography = Applied Quantum Electrodynamics, Lets go play with some Photons !
Photography captures the interplay between Photons and Electrons taking place in, and preserving, a moment of Now. It is achieved by the union of many fields of Science - Optics, Mechanics, Electronics, Chemistry, Mathematics and in itself becomes a tool for Science -Astronomy, Nature, Zoology, Geology, Meteorology, Biology just being a few. My images here come from Nature, both seen and unseen, sometimes simply ignored as common place, that I capture a bit differently.
A second theme here is technology, the physics that enables technology has been fairly consistent over most of the life of the Universe, and within that Railroading. My father, Howie Waelder to his friends, had a life long career with the LIRR and a passion for trains. I grew up with Railroading being a part of daily life.
