Description The Batu Caves outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were full of distracting monkey business, but when you took your time, tried to find some quiet, and looked closer, you saw a transitionally dormant, awe inspiring place of worship that was rich with texture and color. This photo is part of a series of three that try to capture this chromatic verse.
Grant Gallagher, Iowa City, IA Member Since August 2010 Artist Statement I'm a 27 year old traveler. I see my life in chunks. One year here, 6 months there, three years here. I have a degree in physics, working on a masters in applied math, and at times I can get caught up in the pursuit of science for science itself. But then I remind myself that there is nothing more pure than the actualization of technology for means of self expression, and it is in these times that I find myself bent over a canvass or programming my own digital filters so that I can let out that which needs out.
