Description Nature with its colors, shapes, textures and lines are always creating art for me to look at and enjoy. This was a simple piece of bark that somehow came to rest on the dunes at Whitefish Dunes State Park in Door County, Wisconsin. This piece of art was formed by the greatest artist of all - Mother Nature. Photo Art includes a digitally designed double matte effect.
Patsy Reichert, Fish Creek, Wisconsin Member Since January 2010 Artist Statement There are a few things that I have a passion for and love of besides my husband, family and friends. Those being nature, photography, and Door County.
After working my entire life in Corporate America, I decided it was time for a change. About two years ago, I quit Corporate America, went back to school, and began to realize that I had a creative bone in my body so to speak. I had always loved photography and then we purchased a condo in Door County and all of a sudden I found myself mesmerized by all the natural beauty in Door County. I began clicking away. During that same time period I took a few classes in photography and found that I really enjoyed trying to get those unique photos, something just a little different than someone else.
There are so many talented photographers these days, that I also wanted to do something more with my photography, so along with a partner we started a company, Bee Creative Designs. Our tag line is - "Anyone can Bee Creative." We create products using my photography that allow individuals to put the finishing touches on them. Our first product is a Door County Memory Scrapbook - check it out at our web site.
We hope you allow yourself to "Bee Creative" at imagekind by selecting one of my photos and then deciding how you want to display it in your home. Whether that is by framing it, or simply putting thumb tacks in the corners - does it really matter? It's just your way of "Beeing Creative."
