Description This is the first time I have seen a Cedar Waxwing at my cherry trees. I had been out trying to get a shot of this bird for over an hour when I decided to try again later. So, I went home, poured myself a coffee and sat down at my kitchen table. looked out the window and there he was. He stayed long enough to let me get a shot. Apparently the mating ritual for this bird is to pass a piece of fruit back and forth between the male and the female until one accepts it and the deal is done. I guess this one had a mate because he downed the cherry very quickly. No sharing this time.
