Artist Statement My name is Abigail. Most people call me Abby.

I'm in my senior year at Emerson Jr. Sr. High School Visions Program. I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when I was 2 years old.

I have a passion for computer visual arts. I draw things, places, and faces that is very interesting to me. Some of my drawings are original, some of it is my best effort replica of an original drawing I found while browsing images on the internet. My limited upper extremities prevent me from using both hands when drawing on the computer. But, this is just a minor setback. My disability has not stopped me from following my passion for drawing and painting. I navigate my computer using only my chin and a trackball mouse that is attached to my macbook. So, I draw and paint on the computer using only my chin! Recently, I have been painting with a paintbrush in my mouth. I have seen many talented artists online doing the same thing and their accomplishments encouraged me to keep painting and drawing.

In Nov 2013, I was inducted to the National Art Honor Society as a member.
