Description Close-up view of Buttermilk Falls near Long Lake, NY. We found this waterfall on our camping trip to the Adirondacks. In fact, it was an accident, as we were driving and just happened to see the sign. I'm glad we took the detour.

Artist Statement I grew up in Western New York, served twelve years on active duty with the Army, and recently settled in the Central Texas Hill Country. I work in local government as a GIS technician, and my hobbies include photography, geocaching, hiking, canoeing, fishing, hunting, and reading.
I became interested in landscape photography when I was stationed in Germany and bought my first digital camera. As more people complimented my photos, I tried to learn more about the craft. In the last 18 months I've gravitated to macro photography. I am not interested in taking wedding pictures.
