Artist Statement Kaprys Photography
The unusual name Kaprys has special meaning for me as it is also the name of my first horse (it means "capricious" in Polish).


My name is Amanda and I am a classically trained artist with degrees in fine art and history of art. I was previously a veterinary technican and had the opportunity to work with many beautiful animals from hamsters to horses and to also see the powerful relationship humans have with animals.

My career and training have merged into Kaprys Photography. Kaprys is an unusual name but it has special meaning for me as it is also the name of my first horse. I hope to show animals in a way that invokes their special place as companions.
