Artist Statement Children are so beautiful and precious that I love to spend my spare time drawing them. Setting them in flowers or accenting their personalities just adds to the enjoyment. It's a real treat to find a new little person to sketch.

At one time I had these originals hung all over Wichita. People often commented on how compelling they were. I think society needs to be reminded that the littlest of us is truly worthy of our time and effort.

I'm also a big fan of strong color and oversized flowers. Roses are my favorite, but irises and sunflowers are nice, too. A good rose should make one feel like they can smell the bouquet. Hopefully, I'll get a few posted here before another friend grabs them for their wall - lol!

Southwestern art is a new area I'm exploring. Right now I'm absolutely in love with Century plants. They are as graceful as the rose, but "country".

I'm mostly self-taught; spending loads of long hours getting to this point. But it's quite satisfying to know that others are moved enough to want my pieces on their walls.
