Artist Statement I am a pastel painter born in The Netherlands, raised in New York and living in Massachusetts.
I decided to join the "daily painting" movement on the web in September of 2006. As a result I have been creating small affordable pastel paintings ever since. Although I paint daily I do not always complete a work each day.
I work in a variety of mediums. My medium of choice for the past few years has been soft pastels. Although mostly self-taught I have had many teachers in a non-traditional sense.
Formal training has included attendance at the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts.
I have 25 years of professional experience in graphic design and as a fine artist.
My paintings and conceptual photographs have been displayed in art shows and galleries in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York.
