Description Vintage creation of the famous Commodore 64, the computer that started it all. The C64 was the Model-T Ford of the computer industry, permeating almost every middle-class American family. A victim of its won success, Commodore International struggled to bring new, upgraded computers to the market, which were unfortunately incompatible with the C64. Many refused to buy the new computers. Even after the company stopped manufacturing them, consumers simply bought from third parties. Commodore International went bankrupt and ceased operations in the April of 1994.
