Artist Statement In my childhood, I painted automobiles & beautiful landscape everyday.
Because my parents managed a small print shop in Tokyo.
So I could use a lot of wasted paper exclusively!

When I received a design award at junior high school.
I loved to paint & design something but never found myself as an artist.

More than 15 years experience in web site design,
still continued to make artwork in digital.
Finally I returned to myself and begin to paint arts again.

My major influence was coming from Europe not from Japan.
F1GP & 70s sport cars, British Rock, particularly edgy cover design by Hipgnosis, Roger Dean, Keef, Peter Saville!

The digital work is some projection of my inner landscape.
My acrylic painting is much more abstract. All coming from a dialogue with paint & knife. Just like an improvisation play in avant-garde rock or jazz.
