Artist Statement My fascination with colors, texture and composition started early; as a child growing up in rural Germany I was surrounded by nature. An interest and appreciation in these things lead me to pursue a career in design, for which I spent five years in art school.

After having worked as a graphic designer in Europe, I moved to the Bay Area in 1998 and have since had the chance to lend my abilities to a variety of companies.

I continually nurture my passion for photography and nature, with the emphasis on studies of flowers, architecture and urban texture. As somewhat of a purist, I never crop or digitally enhance any of my prints. I am constantly learning new aspects of this craft, and enjoy every chance to be “out and about” taking pictures.
