Artist Statement I became interested in Art as a small child. I knew back then that I wanted to do something, anything, that related to drawing or painting when I got older. Unfortunately when I left school, there were not the great resource material there is today, I became disillusioned when people told me that I needed to find a proper job, I know that sounds familiar and a tad boring, but true. Today there are so many excellent opportunities to follow your dream if you want a career in Art . Also if you want to run your own business, so much help available through the internet, with merchandising etc. Anyways I had to leave it alone for a time, and it was like saying goodbye to someone I loved. I had my family, Three boys. I started up again completely by accident. I drew something for my boys, and that was it, I was hooked once more. I have not stopped since. I love sketching, Watercolours and really want to get better at Oils, so if anyone has any advice on them I would be most grateful for their help.
