Description This picture comes from the Mark Twain National Forest outside of Roaring River State Park near Cassvile, Mo. The dogwood tree was close to the road so taking the picture wasn't all that hard; just had to wait for the wind to die down Then I snapped the picture.
John Baty, Monett, Mo Member Since January 2008 Artist Statement My love for photography developed after a trip to California in 1989. I didn't think much about photography then, but I thought I should take some kind of cameral. The only thing in the house was a Kodak 110 camera. When I returned from California and the film was developed, the pictures I had taken were my best ever; and I've been hooked on photography. From that 110 camera, I moved up to 35mm SLR. I still use film. Haven't quite made the jump to digital. .
