Artist Statement Robert D. Esposito
1940-2000

Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY, but raised in Gloversville, NY until the age of thirteen. He then moved back to Brooklyn always keeping the country in his heart. Once married, Robert moved to Staten Island, NY where he and his wife raised their family of four children. Robert was a self-taught artist working in the advertising field for 35 years. Robert was inspired by the historic buildings of Richmond Town, SI, which reminded him of Gloversville. Robert utilized his drybrush watercolor techniques to capture these historic surroundings in a realistic style.
