Artist Statement Brian Purvis is the owner of and principal photographer for Crystal-Lion Photography. He is an amateur photographer and web designer with a Bachelors Degree in Natural Resource Science from Thompson Rivers University in Kamlooops, British Columbia.

His study in the fields of both Forest and Wetland Ecology along with Entomological research has helped to shape how he views life through the lens. He strives to bring a 'non-traditional view' and fresh perspective to the imagery you will find contained herein. He is an avid outdoor & sports enthusiast who brings his passion for these pursuits to the medium of digital photography.

He also the proprietor of Kamloops based, Ferasilva Consulting. Many images from his portfolio come from the last decade and a half, traveling the back roads of BC and Alberta on various work related research, with his cameras always wthin arms reach.
