Artist Statement I worked as a professional photographer and graphic designer for over 40 years. I started my career as a photojournalist in his early twenties, working as a staff photographer with major illustrated magazines in Warsaw, Poland. Later he was a photo editor, art director and graphic designer in Toronto, Warsaw and Victoria. Ten years ago he started a new chapter in his career and became a digital photography instructor.
I am available for photography assignments. Specializing in portrait and event photography, he serves clients in Vancouver Island and all over the world. Recently his photos have been added to the collection of the Museum of Photography in Krakow, Poland.
My experience:
10 years of teaching photography, 12 years of full-time work as a photojournalist and photo editor, and after many years as a portrait and editorial photographer, I also worked as a graphic designer for DDB Needham, Warsaw. For over 25 years I use Photoshop and recently Lightroom on Mac and Windows computers for professional post-production and editing. I worked as a Photoshop editor for a variety of environmental organizations including the David Suzuki Foundation, WWF, Tides Canada, BC Ministry of Environment, and the University of Victoria. Photographed Mother Theresa, Lech Walesa, Ray Charles, Miles Davis at the time I was a photojournalist in Poland.
I love to travel, observe and socialize with people, listen to good music, and enjoy great movies. I enjoy to look at the art of masters of painting and photography and always finding new inspirations. I work on an ongoing project called "The Theatre of Daily Life" Recently I produced, designed and published three photo albums from the Philippines containing over 300 images.
