Artist Statement The art of Susan Battin is a reflection of human experience. Working in a variety of media, Susan seeks to capture a situational expression of emotion. Her works mirror an aspect of human essence and experience that resonates within many. Susan has taught in Plattsburg, New York and at the Armory Art Center. She has exhibited locally as well as in DeLand, Florida including the Deland House Historical Society Museum and the DeLand Museum of Art. She is winner of numerous awards including Painting Student of the Year, PBCC, Art League Painting Award, and the Nat Kahn Memorial Purchase Award. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio; Susan has been painting since childhood and is largely self taught; she resides in West Palm Beach, Florida.
