Artist Statement Nova Stuart has enjoyed a passion for creating portraits for as long as she can remember. From her elementary school teachers to her childhood babysitter and eventually her classmates and friends, Nova continued to spend her time crafting unique art pieces to gift the people in her life.

After studying illustration and fine art at School of Visual Arts in New York City, she spent several more years observing the techniques of the masterful works the city has to offer in its treasury. As a dedicated admirer of classical portraiture and the freshness of modern art, Nova hopes to merge the two disciplines in her work by creating contemporary pieces using a traditional approach.

Nova's personal philosophy toward her work has always been that as no two people are exactly the same, no two pieces should be the same either. As she continues to pursue her dream of creating artwork for others to enjoy, Nova aspires to share her love of art and the joy of inspiration with everybody.
