Artist Statement Color makes me happy, and I love to see faces light up when they see my work for the first time.

It seems that we don't play enough these days. I want to enable the imagination of the viewer to open their minds and emotions to a joyful way of looking at the world through colors with saturated colors and whimsically imagined bold shapes.

My work is a combination of mediums; oil or acrylic on canvas, as well as digitally created images printed with archival inks. I also dabble with illustrative images.

The Digital Art images were created using a variety of applications; on my iMac, MacBook Pro laptop (using a Wacom tablet), and/or on my iPad using a stylus. I don't make direct copies, or paint over the top of photos. I paint freehand when I paint digitally. I use applications that emulate natural mediums.

I've been experimenting with painting over the top of canvas giclées with acrylics, resulting in unique and one of a kind pieces. Check out my website for acrylic over canvas pieces!
