Description Fila was another of my many foster babies, she and her siblings came to us very sickly, especially the runt. It was such a victory that the runt lived, we named her Nike, thus the rest of the litter got named after shoes, which is what led to the lovely dilute tortoiseshell you see getting named Fila. This was done with hard pastels, the lighting that day was lovely.
Artcat Designs, Houston Member Since January 2009 Artist Statement Hello, I am artcat, the artist behind the work. Animals were a natural focus for me as I have grown up doing animal rescue work. I love strong vibrant colors, and creating movement in my art.
I hold an associates degree in fine art, and hope to one day hold a masters degree in the field.
As an artist, that need to create is what drives me. It's a way to share my deepest most thoughts and feelings, joy, laughter, sadness, frustration, anger... My favorite medium to work in is oil sticks and turpentine, it combines the control of drawing with that wonderful spontaneity of painting.
My blurb, like my life, is a work in progress (bonus points if you get the reference).
