Description Turns out while I was tracking and racking up photos of this picturesque Grasshopper, he was figuring out how to get rid of me! This photo shows him on the center pole of my stand, which he struck with surprising force as he leaped at me. Came across him by pure dumb luck in that lush green grass in the background. Guess it was his way of saying, 'you invaded my space, so I'll invade yours'. Taken in Brooklyn, New York.

I am actually a multi certified professional in the transportation sector, who now utilizes the skills and experience gained to educate the public on the complexities of the driving environment, its' connection to every day life and how it all affects us. I run a small, truly non profit organization for this purpose, incorporating into this a basic food assistance program for persons living on the streets and even shelters. I do not receive nor want renumeration for these 'missions'. You may find links to these on the provided website. I always loved photography, even as a kid. So much so that my father, on his return from a training trip in England, presented me with a Continental 110, my very first camera! Photography is now an integral part of what I do. Recently, as I tried to figure out what to do for income that would blend well with my 'mission' activities, it struck me to try to sell some of the thousands of photos I take as I move around gathering material. So, here I am! Hopefully, if this venture takes hold, I will be able to use some of it to help support and improve on my 'mission' activities.
