Artist Statement At age 13, I won a Kodak Brownie camera in a contest and have never stopped clicking the shutter. Through the years, some pictures evoked feelings commensurate to the affect of paintings, sculpture, or literature. Images by Alfred Stieglitz, Dorothea Lange, Edward Steichen, Margaret Bourke-White, and Ansel Adams have etched an eternal impression of appeal, enlightenment, or social awareness. Photography is more than the reproduction of an image but has the capacity to inspire the aesthetic visceral emotions.
