Artist Statement About the art painter Silvian Sternagel in a short version, refering to the work:

The artist Silvian Sternhagel (*1969) is working as an art painter in Germany since 1992. Already less years after his birth he discovered the fascination of color and shape and his visionary fortitude began to be developed. The instruction of painting in oil and acrylic color was possible by his private teacher and the individual support from 1987 to 1989. The subsequent apprenticeship to glass- and china painter (1989-1992) in the professional school for glass and decoration in Neugablonz gave an understanding to artistic techniques as for example erasure, silkscreen and lino print. Not to forget the artistic guidance in act and drawing by assistant professor Roman Harasymiw in the academy of arts in Munich. In 1993 the artist enters to the professional association of German artists. With the year 1996, the artist has elected a not very usual theme in contemporary arts for his very fine oil- and acrylic paintings: landscapes. 1999 he presented on the 1. international art fair in Magdeburg the country Germany within the Gala gallery. The European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, showed a single exhibition abut the artist in the year 2000. On his paintings Sternhagel quotes different elements of nature and puts it together to another world. He stages a harmony, in that the aesthetic appeal of light is generating the central point of attention.
By this fantastic procedure of artistic creation, for the contemplator a never viewed world is opened, inspiring the impression of boundless freedom. The combination of different styles of painting as naturalism, surrealism and classical art, is significant for his neoromantic paintings.
The inspiration for finding new combinations of wondrous worlds, probably underlains in the natural human endeavour to always invent,construct and create new things. For the achievement-oriented society his paintings can demonstrate imposing the grace and vulnerability of the ecosystem 'earth' and especially to be considerate with it.
Apart from every interpretation his paintings primarily can be enjoyed for their picturesque appearance, their smooth operated gradients or because of the suspense-packed composing. Silvian Sternhagel is working since 1997 in Berlin and was included to the blue 'Who is Who - Europe' in 2001 for extraordinary performances. Since then until today a lot of single and group expositions took place in Berlin and other scenes.
