Artist Statement Creating works on paper is about silent words that flow in and out; a feeling.
Communication with the paper begins. The paper resists.
I scribble on it until it responds. The story begins.I do not have a clue
about its direction. When it begins to speak I can only
follow its guidance. Often, the piece needs space apart from me, therefore, I work on several at the same time.
When one calls back, I respond. I have to be listening with my eyes.
Egyptian papyrus and Japanese paper as
ground is a lovely addiction; emotional sustenance.
For mindless drawing, I love digital (mouse ) drawing in primitive paint .
