Description The color of nature and health is green. It represents growth, money, fertility and safety. It is a relaxing color that is pleasing to the eye, and it is even said to have healing powers. It has never been my favorite color, but what would the world be without it?The connection between mistletoe and a kiss comes from ancient Norse mythology. The god Balder (Baldur /Baldr) was killed by an enemy's arrow made of mistletoe. His mother, the goddess Frigg, wept tears onto the arrow. Her tears turned into white berries that she placed onto Baldur's wound, bringing him back to life. Overjoyed, Frigg blessed the mistletoe plant and promised a kiss to all who passed beneath it.
Randi Grace Nilsberg, Horten Member Since July 2014 Artist Statement I’m a fine art photographer who creates photo art with a painterly effect for nature lovers and dreamers who want affordable art in their home.
I like to experiment with different techniques and styles from soft and subtle colors to the brightness of the entire rainbow. Everything I do starts with a photo of something that caught my eye through its light and shadows, textures and colors. Digital textures often intensify the beauty. I hope my art lets the viewer drift away for a moment.
