Artist Statement Born and raised in Mumbai, India I have seen building being constructed around me with little or no planning involved. Although not recommended I found that system very intriguing, very spontaneous. With that spontaneity as my inspiration I create these abstract digital paintings from the photographs I take. Being an Architectural designer by profession, I tend to explore buildings and structures photographical more than anything else.

My art therefore has an architectural character to them. In my work I start by exploring the transparencies of the photographs by layering them, creating interesting patterns and colors which are completely different from the original photograph. The process is greatly inspired by impulse and spontaneity of the moment. I use digital media to translate my thoughts and photos into abstracted images.
