Description This was another piece created during that same class offered by the University of New Mexico. One of my all favorite musical artist of all time, Jim Morrison of The Doors (December 8, 1943 - July 3, 1971) was the inspiration and model for this digital piece. Scanning in images of Jim and a deck of playing cards was used to create this image. By manipulating these images I tried to capture my experience when I first heard his music. It reminded me of the seediness of the dark elements of gambling and the Juke Joint appeal of his music.
Brian Isaacs, Taos Member Since August 2009 Artist Statement I knew I loved art and photography when I was only ten years old. I learned how to photograph from an early age because of my father, Tony Isaacs, who through his business Indian House, a record company, would photograph the covers for his albums.
I built/upgraded my first computer in my Jr. High School years. I made my first digital image, in the mid eighties when most systems were hundred of thousands of dollars.
I spent hours each day teaching myself computers and mastering the world of digital technologies.
