Artist Statement I grew up behind an art school in Hollywood where my friends and I would sneak in on weekends and look at the glorious mess the students had made during the week. (We also saw a great deal of art.) Across the street, on Camrose Avenue, an artist colony thrived. This is where I spent my childhood. I spent hours watching these artists and asking them about their techniques. I would go home and try to imitate them. I was a spectacular failure. Nevertheless, I still loved how vibrant colors caressed the canvas. My uncle, Al Boime, Professor of art history at UCLA As I grew older I became interested in all the creative arts--dance, theater, music--you name it. After college, I picked up the brush once more and have been painting and drawing ever since-along with teaching and participating in various entrepreneur adventurous (one being this web site which has been a most rewarding.
