Artist Statement Nina Boyd has been an artist since she was seven years old. After studying art in California she still enjoys making art a part of her everyday life. She draws her inspiration from the illustrator Josephine Wall; the artists Maxfield Parrish, Jerry N. Uelsmann, and, of course, nature.
"Art should always attempt to illustrate new worlds. Artists make the impossible possible, whether they're painting a giraffe to hang on a nursery wall in the suburbs or imagining alien landscapes for viewers to lose themselves in. Every piece of art is a door, leading us to new possibilities."
