Artist Statement Gretchen Estell is a multifaceted artist whose first medium of choice is monoprinting although she is an exceptionally gifted painter in oils and other mediums as well.
She originated in New England and relocated to the beautiful Rocky Mountain region of Northern New Mexico some years ago,drawing much of her inspiration from her breathtaking surroundings as well as the deep and varied cultural influences inherent in this very special place.
Gretchen has numerous exhibitions and awards to her credit and has studied with and worked with a number of acclaimed "Taos" artists over the years.
