Anna Ewa Miarczyńska, Warsaw Member Since December 2012 Artist Statement “I often ask myself why I paint, why I have such a need... and I have some answers for myself... A picture is created, someone notices it, looks at it... you look at it, you react, you like it or not. And here it doesn’t matter whether you like it or you don’t like it – but WHY... What association, feature, emotion, memory, dream caused your reaction? What resonated, what moved? What is in YOU, that made you fix your eyes on this picture (or any other object or phenomenon...), focus your attention for a while, longer or shorter...?”
Anna Ewa Miarczyńska was born in Warsaw, Poland and that is where she has been living most of her life. She graduated from Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Conservation of Painting and Polychrome Sculpture. At first she worked as a heritage conservator. She was also involved in jewellery design, arrangements of exhibitions and presentations. She co-operates with several galleries and periodicals. At present she is a free-lancer and realises various orders and her own visions (oil paintings, drawings, graphic designs, copies, portrays, illustrations, digital art, wall paintings, interior design) It’s through painting that she discovers mysteries for herself... restores her inner-peace, balance, strength and joy of life. She imprints all that in her pictures, so that they can talk to us about it.
