Description This is a close up shot of a sunflower. It has not been cropped at all. I took it using my Canon 450d with canon 100mm macro lens. It is very artistic and I bet that most people will have no idea what it is unless you tell them.

Artist Statement Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated with nature. As life goes on I find myself seeking a deeper understanding of this creation and with each photograph I take, I can't help but wonder how God has made all of these beautiful things. Whatever nature is, it obviously consists of a seemingly infinite amount of variety, energy and color. What I know more than anything is that God has an immeasurable amount of talent and intelligence, coupled with endless love. This is what I find in nature and this is why I take the photos I take. The most beautiful thing about all of this is that we all are a part of this creation. We live in a beautiful place and I hope that the pictures I have taken will help all of those who see them to realize that.
